A Letter from Mike Maser
I founded Big Sky Health, makers of Zero, nearly four years ago, with the goal of empowering people to unlock improved health and longevity through fasting. Together, in that time, we’ve fasted for 1.5 billion hours over 100 million fasts. Those are some seriously impressive numbers. And it’s the dedication and commitment from you and our millions of other members that got us to these milestones.
We at Big Sky Health are determined to bring real results to more people, in more places, and with more cutting-edge personalized tools than ever before. In short, we’re just getting started.
That’s why I’m so excited to introduce you to my successor, Tom Conrad.
Come November, I’ll be moving into the role of Executive Chairman, and Tom will take my place as our new CEO. I didn’t make this decision lightly—indeed it came after months of contemplating what’s right for our community, our team, and for me personally. At the end of the day, it became clear to me that to take our products to the next level and amplify the positive impact we can have on millions of lives, having a world-class product visionary at the helm is what we need.
Tom comes to us with a wealth of leadership and technology expertise—he was a co-creator of Pandora and head of product at Snap and Quibi, to name just a few. He also has firsthand experience with—and passion for—our mission. He’ll share his story with you later, but suffice to say, fasting changed his life just like it changed mine.
With Tom as our new CEO, I get to help navigate where we take Zero next. (And you can contribute, too. Join us!)
I’ll sign off with a quote from Seneca (but which most of us know as a line in Semisonic’s song “Closing Time”): “Every new beginning comes from some other beginning’s end.”
CEO, Big Sky Health
